And here's my second photo. This is a pair of socks that I started when we were on vacation. We stopped at a JoAnn Fabrics and I picked up this yarn because it was cheap, it had red in it, and I knew that it would be a good car project. It's just my generic short-row heel sock pattern with picot edge (because I hate knitting ribbing).

I finished the first sock today, and when I started on the second, I realized that there was no way that I was going to be able to make a matching pair. I have made tons of socks (upwards of 25 pairs) and have NEVER had a problem matching them. This yarn has such a big color repeat (it's like 4 inches) that a matching pair is just not going to happen. I also noticed that the pair on the label does not match. This should have been my first clue.

This may very well drive me insane. I am a little anal retentive when it comes to my crafts and I don't know if I can handle them not matching. I might have to immediately make another pair that does match to make up for this one.
